      Hi all,

In post tension literatures like Technical Report # 43 and PTI, the maximum tendon spacing in distributed direction is (8 x slab thickness).

      Here is a scenario:
      PT slab thickness = 250mm
      Spacing(Distributed direction) =1500mm
      max. tendon spacing (8xslab thk.) = 2000mm

As per site condition, I have to move the whole tendon to the rightside by 300mm so that the spacing to the rightside will now be 1200mm and to the leftside is 1800mm (which is below max.spacing).

My question is, am I right to say that I did not violate the design requirement of the pt slab by moving the tendon?

      Please clarify and confirm.

        Hi Jone
moving the tendon may effect the allowble stress, deflection or may cause changing in the normal steel in this area.
even if the tendon spacing not more than allowble.
so you have to tell your Designer to relocate the tendons and check the above thing before casting

if the above thing within the limits , then you accept the tendons changing and cast your slab.
and please if you have more details about this matter write any question and i will answer you

          Hello there Mr. Yaser,

Thank you so much for the explanation.
Keep online from time to time because we need your technical expertise in this forum.

          cheers.
