      Hi,

I'm experiencing vertical cracks in unbonded post tension beams on site. I have seen this in the normal conventional design but this has happen for first time in post tensioning. I have no idea how to handle this problem.

      Need help from you guys

You need to analysis the slab in “Long-term “deflection criteria with cracked deflection checking.
Loading combination would be like that “Long-term Cracked = 1.65xSelf weight +1.65xDead load+0.88xLive Load+1.65x prestressing

PLEASE LET US KNOW THE FOLLOWING:
1- IS THE SLAB WAS SHUTTERED WHEN YOU SAW THE CARACK OR NO.
2- PLEASE IDENTIFY EXACTLY THE LOCATION OF THE CREACK
3- IDENTIFY THE CRACK WIDTH AND DEPTH
4- IS IT A SHEAR CRACK OR FLUCTURAL CARAK
5- WHERE THE CREACK HAS OCCURED, IN THE TOP OF THE SLAB OR N THE BOTTOM OR IF IT IS A FULL DEPTH CRACK.
