In one of PT slab stressed in pan box the system was 505 but the guys fixed only 405. During stressing one of the strand which has 7 ply was cutt off and only two ply remaining. In this is it possible to distribute the loads to other cables equally. The following are information

system: 505 installed at site only 405
      length :10.2m
      Single end

        DEAR SIR,
we are not possible to apply two ply only.because jack master wedge is not support. inthis case please check with design people tranfer the load other near tendon and opposite tendons inthe grid…. othervise don't go risk .

the right way as i see, that to go back to design files and check stresses and deflection if it is replaced with 405.
im design engineer and from my little experience u will find it not critical, but u should never increase the stressing load for other strands as some engineers see sometimes.
          best regards

I am sorry that i am a little confused with the terminology used here. I am not familiar with names like 505 $ 405. I made assumptions that the “7 ply” meant you have the standard low relaxation strand which is made of 7 wires (6 wires wound around a central wire). If that is the case and you broke 5 wires out of the 7, then you have a useless strand. The wedges in the Jack will not grip as stated above.
If you lost only one strand out of many, you may still be ok based on the design force versus the provided force. Just re-check the pt force called in the design and see where you stand. If this was a slab, it may not even be an issue because of a membrane action than if it was for a beam.
